Content Moderation Policy
This Content Moderation Policy describes how Automated Software Systems LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our") moderates user-generated content and user communications on Reachmore Expeditions (the "Service"). It is intended to be read alongside our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and DMCA Policy.
Scope
This policy applies to:
- Content guides post or upload to their booking page (hero photo, logo, trip descriptions, trip-template photos, meet-location text, business name)
- Inquiries customers submit through booking forms (name, contact, message, requested trip)
- Communications routed through the Service between guides and customers
- User profile information and account data visible to others
- User reports and feedback regarding content or conduct
Reporting Content or Conduct
You can report content or conduct by emailing support@reachmoreexpeditions.com.
When reporting, please include:
- The location of the content (booking page URL, inquiry, profile)
- The reason for the report (which AUP section applies, if known)
- Any context that helps us evaluate the content quickly
For copyright concerns specifically, follow the procedure in our DMCA Policy instead — DMCA notices have specific statutory requirements.
Our Response Timeline
We aim to acknowledge and act on reports within these target windows during business days:
- Imminent safety threats (credible threats of violence, child safety, suicide/self-harm in progress) — within hours; we may also contact law enforcement directly
- High-severity AUP violations (CSAM, NCII, doxxing, true threats) — within 24 hours
- Standard AUP violations (harassment, hate speech, spam, scams) — within 72 hours
- Lower-priority issues (minor disputes, ambiguous content) — within 7 days
- DMCA notices — handled per the DMCA Policy timeline (generally within 24 hours of a valid notice)
These are targets, not guarantees. We are a small team and prioritize reports by severity. If a report is urgent and we have not responded, please escalate by email with "URGENT" in the subject.
Actions We May Take
Depending on the violation, we may:
- Remove or hide the content
- Issue a warning to the user
- Restrict specific features (booking submissions, messaging) for the user temporarily
- Suspend or terminate the user's account
- Preserve content and refer the matter to law enforcement (e.g. CSAM reports to NCMEC under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A)
- Block the user's device, IP, or other identifiers from creating new accounts
The action taken depends on the severity of the violation, the user's history, the apparent intent, and any aggravating or mitigating factors. For zero-tolerance violations (child safety, NCII, true threats, security attacks) we generally terminate on first occurrence.
How We Detect Violations
We rely primarily on user reports. We may also use:
- Automated detection for specific high-risk categories (e.g. hash-matching tools for known CSAM, link-reputation for spam URLs)
- Manual review by Company staff
- Third-party trust-and-safety vendors where applicable
Automated tools are imperfect and we review actions on appeal.
Notifications
When we take action against a user's content or account, we generally notify the affected user unless:
- Notification is prohibited by law (e.g. certain law-enforcement requests)
- Notification would compromise an investigation or another user's safety
- The account was terminated for severe violations where notification would enable evasion
Appeals
If you believe an action against your content or account was a mistake, you may appeal by emailing support@reachmoreexpeditions.com within 30 days. Include:
- Your account identifier (username or registered email)
- What action was taken
- Why you believe it was incorrect
- Any context we should consider
We aim to review appeals within 14 days and respond with a decision. Decisions on appeal are final unless new information justifies reopening.
User-to-User Communications
Although we do not routinely read private communications, we may review messages reported by a recipient or as part of a safety investigation. Sending content through the Service's messaging or inquiry features that violates the AUP results in the same enforcement actions as posting it publicly.
Repeat Offenders
We track enforcement actions per account. Users who accumulate multiple AUP violations may face escalating consequences, including permanent account termination:
- Two or more valid DMCA notices within 12 months → account termination (per DMCA Policy)
- Three or more confirmed AUP violations within 12 months → account termination
- Any single zero-tolerance violation → account termination
Government and Law-Enforcement Requests
We respond to valid legal process (subpoenas, court orders, search warrants) under applicable law. We may notify affected users of legal-process requests where permitted by law.
Limitations
We do not pre-screen all user content. Content visible in the Service reflects the views of the users who created it, not the Company. Our moderation is reactive and resource-constrained; we may not detect or act on every violation. This Policy describes our practices in good faith but does not create contractual obligations beyond those in our Terms of Service.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated within the Service or on this page. Continued use of Reachmore Expeditions after changes constitutes acceptance.
